Fresh Fruit Margarita

Sun, Sep 18, 22

Margaritas are such a classic, refreshing drink. There’s nothing quite like catching up with friends while sharing a pitcher of margaritas. Too often though, these delicious beverages get bogged down with sugary syrups and fake flavorings. That’s why we’re bringing you this fresh twist on a classic.

There’s no need for ice or mixes – The power of frozen fruit does double duty to create the perfect frozen margarita. And the best part? It’s absolutely customizable to whatever fruit combination you prefer. Pineapple-mango? Berry blend? Try out your recipe tonight, and let us know how it goes!

Fresh Fruit Margarita

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cup frozen fruit (or a 10-ounce bag of unsweetened frozen fruit)
  • 3/4 cup tequila
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 3 limes)
  • 2 tablespoons orange liqueur, or orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup (melt 1 part sugar into 1 part warm water)
  • 2 cups ice water
  • Fresh lime wedges
  • Salt or sugar for garnish

Directions:

Add the first six ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Take each glass and wipe a wedge of lime around the rim. Dip the edges into a plate covered with salt or sugar and tap off excess.  Pour the margaritas into each glass, and garnish with a wedge of lime. Cheers!
