Canadian Hard Lemonade

Sun, Sep 18, 22

If you’re hosting a get-together and are tired of the same old booze offerings, we suggest you spice up the night with something special. But you don’t want to be stuck as the mix master all night, so you’ll want something quick and easy.

We recommend the Forty Creek Barrel Select Whiskey because of it’s sweet and smooth finish with honey and vanilla aromas. This evens out the sourness of the lemon but still keeps the bite.

This means that it has a little something for everyone: sweet, but not too sweet and with a nice shot of whiskey which always livens up the party.

Canadian Hard Lemonade

Makes 4 servings

Ingredients:

  • 4 shot (1.5 oz) of Forty Creek Barrel Select Whiskey
  • 4 tablespoon simple syrup (melt 1 part sugar into 1 part warm water)
  • 16 oz lemonade
  • Soda water or lemon-lime soda
  • Fresh lemons
  • Mint for garnish (optional)

Directions:

Add the first three ingredients in a pitcher ice and stir with a metal bar spoon until combined. Fill glasses with ice and pour mixture until almost full. Add a splash of soda water to each glass to top it off with some bubbles and garnish with a sprig of mint or wheel of lemon. Cheers!

*Party Tip: You can serve immediately or make in advance and keep cool in the fridge (if making in advance, do not add ice until you serve or you run the risk of watering down the drink).
