An American favorite, Soft Red has been the top selling wine in Indiana for the past five years. Called America’s original dessert wine, Concord is famous for its deep burgundy color and classic sweetness. Concord, a native North American species, is grown on a greater variety of soils and under a wider range of climatic conditions than any other American grape variety. Concord juice from the cool growing regions of the Great Lakes is fermented in stainless steel tanks. Cold fermentation retains Concord’s bright fruit aroma and taste. Immediately following fermentation, the now-dry wine is clarified. Additional juice is then added to the wine to provide sweetness and enhance Concord’s character.
