The husband and wife team’s (David Sampedro and Melanie Hickman) motto is to make terroir-driven wines with soul, respect the land and work only with indigenous grapes. Their tinto is simple yet reflects the unique style in Rioja Alavesa, nicely balanced with some blackcurrant aromas and not exaggerated with oaks. The palate is medium-bodied and reveals fine grained tannins on the finish.
