In 1865, J. W. Kelly decided to settle in Chattanooga, Tennessee with the desire and goal to create the finest whisky. One year later, he founded J. W. Kelly & Co. His brand set the standard of excellence and was prosperous until 1915, when Prohibition halted production and sales. Now, more than 100 years later, his dream lives on through us as a "world class spirit with Chattanooga soul." Melrose Rye Whiskey has a distinct double-barreling process. This whiskey is spicy with dry flavors, heightened with notes of cherry and cinnamon from the 15 year old Amarone Italian wine barrel from Italy.
